The Utah Elks Association and the Utah Ladies of Elks have been major sponsors of this project. Each Elks Lodge in Utah constructed a sleeping cabin. The Utah Ladies of Elks funded the building of the dispensary and have continued to donate to the Camp each year. The project has also received support from charitable foundations such as the George S and Delores Dore Eccles Foundation and many, many businesses. The Camp Wapiti Board of Directors are actively contacting businesses, civic organizations, and charitable foundations for assistance.

The priority of Camp Wapiti is to serve the needs of the health care agencies involved. The long term goal is that no child who has a need will be denied the opportunity to attend because of space or financial constraints. Since opening in 1994, Camp Wapiti has made a positive and substantial difference in the lives of thousands of young people.
