Camp Wapiti - 2001 and On

This year's schedule of campers is shaping up nicely. These are the prime users who your camp has served for the past ten years. The balance of time will be taken up by churches, youth and the State of Utah Groups.

The Camp has weathered the winter well but always needs some fix-up and the usual touch-uppainting. Our annual clean-up day is the Saturday following Mother's Day, which is May 19,2001. The gate will be open at 7:30 am. Lunch will be served. It is an excellent time to comesee your Camp. The PER Pavilion will be dedicated at that time.

Major efforts this year include the building of the Caretaker's Cabin, filling the ravine by the entrance to the camp and covering trails with filings to reduce dust. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kip Mautner as the new Camp Caretaker. Kip is not new to Camp Wapiti, as he and his family have been involved in the construction of much of the camp for the several years. We welcome Kip and know he will do a fine job.
